Description
API 7K Drilling Rig Rotary Table for Oil & Gas Drilling, Workover & Replacement Projects
SGPE manufactures and supplies Drilling Rig Rotary Tables for onshore oil and gas drilling rigs, conventional Kelly-drive rigs, deep-well drilling, workover units, well servicing rigs and mature rig refurbishment projects.
Also known as an Oilfield Rotary Table, Oil Rig Rotary Table, API 7K Rotary Table, Rig Rotary Table, Drilling Rotary Table or Rotary Table Assembly, this equipment forms a key part of the drilling rig rotary system and rig-floor equipment package.
On a conventional drilling rig, the Rotary Table receives mechanical power from the drivetrain and transfers torque through the Master Bushing and Kelly Bushing to the Kelly and drill string. Its center opening also provides the working interface for Rotary Slips, Insert Bowls, Casing Bushings and related tubular-handling equipment.
The SGPE range covers common ZP Series Rotary Tables, including ZP175, ZP205, ZP275, ZP375 and ZP495. Nominal openings range from approximately 17-1/2 in to 49-1/2 in, allowing the equipment to suit different drilling programs, tubular sizes, rig capacities and floor layouts.
Available configurations include Mechanical Drive Rotary Tables, Chain Drive Rotary Tables, Kelly Drive Rotary Tables, Heavy Duty Rotary Tables, Large Opening Rotary Tables, Rotary Tables with Master Bushings and Replacement Rotary Tables.
For a new rig, selection begins with opening size, static load, working torque, rotary speed, tubular program and drivetrain. For an existing rig, the technical review also considers the model, nameplate, GA drawing, center distance, input shaft, sprocket, chain and verified installation dimensions.
Product Overview
A Drilling Rig Rotary Table performs three main functions at the rig floor: it rotates the drill string, provides a passage for tubulars and supports vertical loads through the correct bushing and slip arrangement.
In a conventional Kelly drilling system, the rig drivetrain powers the Rotary Table input shaft. The pinion turns the main gear, reducing input speed and developing usable torque at the rotating table.
The table drives the Master Bushing, which drives the Kelly Bushing. The Kelly Bushing then transfers torque to the square or hexagonal Kelly and ultimately to the drill string.
During tripping and casing operations, compatible Rotary Slips, Insert Bowls and Casing Bushings allow the same rig-floor system to support drill pipe, drill collars and casing.
Opening size is therefore only one part of Rotary Table selection. The equipment must also match the required load, torque, speed, drivetrain, tubular program and installation envelope.

Two Rotary Tables with the same nominal opening can still use different shafts, sprockets, gear ratios, center distances or bushing interfaces.
For that reason, SGPE reviews the Rotary Table, drivetrain, tubular program, casing program and rig-floor interfaces as one connected system.
SGPE Rotary Table Project Support
SGPE supports new drilling-rig procurement, Replacement Drilling Rig Rotary Tables and brownfield rig refurbishment.
For a new rig, the review covers the required opening, load capacity, torque, rotary speed, drill pipe, drill collars, casing program and drivetrain.
For a replacement unit, dimensional compatibility often becomes the main concern. Existing drawings, equipment nameplates and verified field measurements can establish whether the new table will connect correctly to the current shaft, sprocket, chain and mounting arrangement.

ZP Rotary Table Model Selection Guide
| Model | Typical Position | Common Application | Main Selection Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZP175 | Compact Rotary Table | Workover / well servicing rigs | Space, tubular range and load |
| ZP205 | Medium Rotary Table | Mobile rigs / medium workover | Load and drivetrain |
| ZP275 | Land Rig Rotary Table | Conventional oil & gas drilling | Tubular program and torque |
| ZP375 | Heavy Duty Rotary Table | Deep wells and larger land rigs | Static load and casing program |

ZP175 Rotary Table
The ZP175 Rotary Table provides a nominal 17-1/2 in opening and can suit selected workover rigs, well servicing units, mobile rigs and compact rotary systems.
Because ZP175 load ratings vary between design families, the required static load, working torque and drivetrain should be confirmed before ordering.
ZP205 Rotary Table
The ZP205 Rotary Table uses a nominal 20-1/2 in opening and can suit medium-duty drilling rigs, mobile rigs and workover units.
Common reference configurations provide approximately 3,150 kN static load, 22.6–23.0 kN·m working torque, a gear ratio around 3.22 and a center distance around 1,353 mm.
For a Replacement ZP205 Rotary Table, the input shaft, sprocket and installation envelope should also match the existing rig.
ZP275 Rotary Table
The ZP275 Rotary Table is a common choice for conventional onshore oil and gas drilling rigs.
Its nominal 27-1/2 in / 698.5 mm opening provides a practical balance between tubular clearance, load capacity and equipment size.
| ZP275 Parameter | Industry-Reference Value |
|---|---|
| Opening | 698.5 mm / 27-1/2 in |
| Static Load | Approx. 4,500 kN |
| Working Torque | Approx. 27.5–28.0 kN·m |
| Maximum Speed | Approx. 250–300 rpm depending on design |
| Gear Ratio | Approx. 3.67 |
| Center Distance | Approx. 1,353 mm / 53-1/4 in |
| Published Weight | Approx. 6,122–6,773 kg |
A 27-1/2 Inch Rotary Table can support conventional Kelly drilling, tripping, casing work, drill-string suspension and selected fishing operations when matched with the correct bushing and slip system.
Buyers sourcing a new or replacement ZP275 Rotary Table should provide the existing GA drawing and drivetrain data whenever available.
ZP375 Rotary Table
The ZP375 Rotary Table provides a nominal 37-1/2 in / 952.5 mm opening and suits heavier drilling rigs, deeper wells and larger tubular programs.
| ZP375 Parameter | Industry-Reference Value |
|---|---|
| Opening | 952.5 mm / 37-1/2 in |
| Static Load | Approx. 5,850 kN |
| Working Torque | Approx. 32.4–33.0 kN·m |
| Maximum Speed | Approx. 300 rpm |
| Gear Ratio | Approx. 3.56 |
| Center Distance | Approx. 1,353 mm / 53-1/4 in |
| Published Weight | Approx. 7,970–8,026 kg |
The 37-1/2 Inch Rotary Table can suit deep-well drilling, heavy drill strings, large hole sections and larger casing programs.
For a ZP375 Rotary Table Price or Replacement Quote, compare the existing shaft, center distance and rig-floor arrangement before final selection.
ZP495 Rotary Table
The ZP495 Rotary Table provides a nominal 49-1/2 in / 1,257.3 mm opening and represents the large-opening end of the common ZP Series.
This Large Opening Heavy Duty Rotary Table can suit large land rigs, deep oil and gas wells, heavy drill strings and large casing programs.
Because published ZP495 load and torque ratings vary significantly between design families, the drilling program and drivetrain interface should determine the final specification rather than one universal rating.
How Does a Drilling Rig Rotary Table Work?
A Rotary Table Drilling System converts drivetrain power into rotary motion at the rig floor.
The power path is:
Rig Drive → Input Shaft → Pinion → Main Gear → Rotary Table → Master Bushing → Kelly Bushing → Kelly → Drill String
The rig powers the input shaft, which turns the pinion and main gear. The gear system reduces input speed and develops usable torque at the Rotary Table.
The rotating table drives the Master Bushing, which drives the Kelly Bushing. The Kelly Bushing then transfers torque to the Kelly and drill string.
Because the Kelly can move vertically through the bushing while the system rotates, drilling can continue as the bit advances.
The center opening also allows drill pipe, drill collars and casing to pass through the rig floor during drilling and tubular-handling operations.
Main Components of a Rotary Table Assembly
| Component | Main Function |
|---|---|

Rotary Table with Master Bushing and Kelly Bushing
Many drilling contractors require a complete rig-floor package rather than a bare Rotary Table.
SGPE can supply a Rotary Table with Master Bushing and Kelly Bushing, together with Rotary Slips, Insert Bowls and Casing Bushings matched to the tubular program.
The Rotary Table provides the rotating and load-supporting structure. The Master Bushing creates the primary table interface, while the Kelly Bushing transfers torque to the Kelly.
| Equipment | Supply Scope | Main Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Rotary Table | Main equipment | Rotation and load support |
| Master Bushing | Available | Main table interface |
| Kelly Bushing | Available | Transfers rotation to Kelly |
| Rotary Slips | Available | Supports drill pipe |
| Insert Bowls | Available | Matches slips and tubular sizes |
| Casing Bushing | Available | Supports casing operations |
| Bit Breaker Plate | Where required | Rig-floor bit handling |
| Sprocket / Drive Interface | Project-specific | Matches drivetrain |
| Spare Parts | Optional package | Maintenance and overhaul |
Supplying mating rig-floor equipment as one package can reduce dimensional and interface problems during installation.
Bushing and Tubular Compatibility
| Interface | What Must Match | Risk if Incorrect |
|---|---|---|
| Rotary Table | Master Bushing geometry | Bushing cannot install |
| Master Bushing | Table drive interface | Poor torque transmission |
| Kelly Bushing | Kelly profile and size | Kelly cannot fit correctly |
| Kelly | Square or hexagonal profile | Wrong bushing arrangement |
| Rotary Slips | Drill pipe OD | Incorrect tubular support |
| Insert Bowl | Slip and bushing combination | Incorrect seating |
| Casing Bushing | Casing OD | Casing mismatch |
| Rig Floor | Footprint and elevation | Installation problem |
| Input Shaft | Existing drivetrain | Drive mismatch |
| Sprocket | Chain geometry | Transmission mismatch |
Conventional rigs commonly use either a Square Kelly or Hexagonal Kelly. Kelly profile, nominal size, Kelly Bushing type and Master Bushing interface should therefore be confirmed together.
This becomes especially important on older rigs where a new Rotary Table must operate with existing Kelly and bushing equipment.
Mechanical Drive and Chain Drive Rotary Tables
Many conventional land rigs use a Mechanical Drive Rotary Table. Power reaches the table through shafts, sprockets and chains before the input shaft drives the internal gear system.
For a Chain Drive Rotary Table, the complete drivetrain interface should be checked before manufacturing.
| Drive Parameter | Required Information |
|---|---|
| Input Shaft OD | Existing / required diameter |
| Shaft Extension | Length |
| Keyway | Width, depth and length |
| Sprocket Diameter | Existing / required |
| Tooth Count | Existing / required |
| Sprocket Width | Existing / required |
| Chain Specification | Type and size |
| Center Distance | mm / in |
| Shaft Elevation | Existing dimension |
| Rotation Direction | Required |
| Maximum Input Speed | rpm |
| Guard Clearance | Available space |
A matching opening does not guarantee direct interchangeability. Shaft location, sprocket geometry and center distance can still prevent a replacement Rotary Table from fitting the existing drivetrain.

| Deep-Well Drilling | Heavy-duty rotation and support | Load and torque |
| Large-Hole Drilling | Large tubular passage | Opening and casing clearance |
| Kelly Drilling | Primary rotary drive | Master / Kelly Bushing |
| Top Drive Rig Support | Tubular and slip support | Opening and rig-floor interface |
| Workover | Work-string rotation | Compact size and torque |
| Well Servicing | Tubing and work-string handling | Rig envelope |
| Casing Running | Casing passage and support | Opening and bushing system |
| Tripping | Drill-string suspension | Slip compatibility |
| Fishing | Controlled string rotation | Working torque |
| Rig Refurbishment | Equipment replacement | Dimensional compatibility |
| Brownfield Upgrade | New equipment on existing rig | Drivetrain and rig-floor interface |
Onshore Oil and Gas Drilling
A Rotary Table for an Oil Drilling Rig can provide the primary rotary drive on a conventional Kelly-drive land rig.
The correct model depends on well depth, drill-string weight, drill pipe size, drill collar OD, hole program, casing design, torque, static load and available rig-floor capacity.
ZP275 and ZP375 provide common starting points for many land-rig applications, although the actual drilling program should determine final selection.
Deep-Well and Large-Hole Drilling
Deep wells increase drill-string weight, casing load and torque demand, while large surface and intermediate hole sections require greater tubular clearance.
For these applications, ZP375 and ZP495 Heavy Duty Rotary Tables can provide larger openings and greater load capacity in suitable configurations.
The selected model still needs to match the complete tubular program and drivetrain rather than well depth alone.
Rotary Table for Top Drive Rig Support
Many modern drilling rigs use a Top Drive System for primary drill-string rotation but still retain a Rotary Table at the rig floor.
In this arrangement, the table can support Rotary Slips, drill pipe suspension, casing operations and other tubular-handling functions.
Buyers should specify whether they need a Rotary Table for Top Drive Rig Support, a backup rotary drive or a conventional Kelly-drive system because torque and drivetrain requirements can differ.
Workover and Well Servicing
A Workover Rig Rotary Table can support tubing rotation, work-string handling, tubing pulling and running, cleanout work and selected intervention activities.
Because workover units usually provide less rig-floor space than full-size drilling rigs, ZP175, ZP205 or selected ZP275 configurations may offer a better fit.
Casing Running, Tripping and Fishing
During casing operations, the Rotary Table provides the main tubular passage through the rig floor and works with suitable Casing Bushings and slips.
During tripping, the center opening and Rotary Slips must provide sufficient clearance and load capacity for the drill-string program.
During selected fishing work, the Rotary Table can provide controlled rotation for strings used with overshots, spears, mills, junk baskets and washover tools. Applied torque must remain within the approved equipment rating.
Replacement Drilling Rig Rotary Table
A Replacement Drilling Rig Rotary Table requires more than matching the ZP model number.
The new unit should match the existing opening, load rating, working torque, gear ratio, input shaft, center distance, sprocket, chain, bushing interface, mounting points and installation envelope.

Replacement Rotary Table Without an Original Drawing
Some mature drilling rigs no longer have complete engineering records.
In this situation, the replacement review can begin with the equipment nameplate, clear Rotary Table photographs, rig-floor photographs, opening diameter, overall dimensions and center distance.
Input-shaft measurements, keyway dimensions, sprocket data, chain specification and bushing details can then define the drivetrain interface.
Old maintenance manuals, spare-parts records and verified field measurements can provide additional reference information.
This process can support an initial Custom Replacement Rotary Table proposal even when the original GA drawing is unavailable.
Key Rotary Table Selection Parameters
Rotary Table Opening
| Model | Nominal Opening |
|---|---|
| ZP175 | 17-1/2 in |
| ZP205 | 20-1/2 in |
| ZP275 | 27-1/2 in |
| ZP375 | 37-1/2 in |
| ZP495 | 49-1/2 in |
The opening must provide enough clearance for drill pipe, drill collars, casing, bushings and slips.
A larger opening does not automatically make the table more suitable. Load, torque, drivetrain and rig-floor space must also match the drilling program.
Maximum Static Load
The Rotary Table Maximum Static Load defines its rated vertical load-support capacity.
The selection review should consider drill-string load, drill collars, casing, slip-supported loads and the capacity of the rig-floor structure.
Maximum Working Torque
The Rotary Table Working Torque defines how much torque the transmission can deliver within its rated operating range.
Higher torque increases loads on the main gear, pinion, input shaft, bearings, sprocket and chain. Working torque should therefore form part of every Drilling Rig Rotary Table RFQ.
Rotary Speed
Common ZP Series Rotary Tables publish maximum speeds around 300 rpm, although individual designs can use different ratings.
Maximum equipment speed should not be confused with normal drilling rpm, which depends on the bit, BHA, formation and drilling program.
Gear Ratio and Center Distance
The Rotary Table Gear Ratio controls the relationship between input-shaft speed and table speed.
The Rotary Table Center Distance affects drivetrain geometry on many chain-driven rigs.
Both parameters become critical when matching a replacement table to an existing drilling rig.
Manufacturing, Inspection and Quality Control
SGPE can inspect critical dimensions and operating functions during manufacturing and assembly.
| QC Item | Main Control Point |
|---|---|
| Raw Material | Identification and traceability |
| Housing | Structural and dimensional inspection |
| Rotating Table | Dimensional inspection |
| Main Gear | Tooth and dimensional inspection |
| Pinion | Gear engagement |
| Input Shaft | OD, keyway and straightness |

| Preservation | Shipment protection |
| Packing | Export transport protection |
The final inspection scope follows the approved purchase specification.
Where required, SGPE can coordinate an agreed Third-Party Inspection / TPI scope and prepare the corresponding inspection documentation.
Technical Documentation
The documentation package should be agreed during the RFQ stage so manufacturing, inspection and final document submission follow the same project requirements.
| Document | Availability |
|---|---|
| Technical Datasheet | Available |
| General Arrangement Drawing | Available |
| Dimensional Drawing | Available |
| Material Documentation | According to project scope |
| Dimensional Inspection Report | Available |
| Assembly Inspection Record | According to scope |
| Running Test Record | According to scope |

Installation and Maintenance
Before installation, the rig team should verify the rig-floor opening, support structure, Rotary Table orientation, mounting position and drivetrain alignment.
The input shaft and sprocket must align with the existing drive. Center distance, chain tension and bushing compatibility should also be checked before operation.
Lubrication level and the locking device should receive a functional check before the first run.
During service, routine maintenance should focus on gear noise, bearing temperature, vibration, lubricant condition and leakage. Shaft seals, gear backlash, drive-chain condition, sprocket wear, bushing wear and mounting hardware should also receive regular inspection.
Correct lubrication and routine inspection help reduce premature wear and unplanned rig downtime.
Common Drilling Rig Rotary Table Problems
| Problem | Possible Cause | What to Check |
|---|---|---|
| Abnormal Gear Noise | Wear or incorrect backlash | Main gear and pinion |
| High Bearing Temperature | Poor lubrication or bearing damage | Bearings and lubricant |
| Oil Leakage | Damaged seal | Shaft and housing seals |
| Excessive Vibration | Gear, shaft or bearing issue | Alignment and bearings |
| Rough Rotation | Internal wear or contamination | Gear and bearing system |
| Master Bushing Does Not Fit | Wrong interface | Table and bushing dimensions |
| Kelly Bushing Does Not Match | Wrong Kelly profile | Square / hex configuration |
| Replacement Table Does Not Fit | Incomplete dimensions | Footprint and mounting |
| Drivetrain Does Not Align | Wrong center distance | Shaft and sprocket |
| Rapid Chain Wear | Misalignment or incorrect tension | Chain and sprocket |
| Opening Too Small | Wrong model selection | Tubular and casing program |
| Incorrect Table Speed | Gear-ratio mismatch | Drivetrain |
Many replacement problems begin with incomplete interface information rather than the ZP model number itself.
Drilling Rig Rotary Table Price and Quotation
Buyers comparing a Drilling Rig Rotary Table Manufacturer, Oilfield Rotary Table Supplier or ZP Rotary Table Price should compare the complete technical scope rather than the headline price alone.
The model, opening, load rating, torque, bushing package, drivetrain, inspection requirements and spare-parts scope can all affect the final quotation.

For a faster Drilling Rig Rotary Table quotation, provide the required model or opening together with static load, working torque, drivetrain interface and quantity.
Drilling Rig Rotary Table Spare Parts
SGPE can supply Drilling Rig Rotary Table Spare Parts for routine maintenance, overhaul and mature-rig refurbishment.
Depending on the model and available technical information, the supply can include main gears, pinions, input shafts, bearings, bearing seats, seals, gaskets, sprockets, lubrication components, Master Bushings, Insert Bowls and related transmission parts.
For standard ZP Rotary Tables, the model and part number provide the best starting point.
For legacy or modified equipment, drawings, photographs and actual dimensions can help identify the correct replacement component.
Customers planning a major drilling-rig overhaul can also request a recommended spare-parts package with the main Rotary Table.
Custom Rotary Table and Drilling Rig Refurbishment
Long-running drilling fleets often contain Rotary Tables from different manufacturers, design generations and previous refurbishment programs.
SGPE can review Custom Drilling Rig Rotary Tables, Replacement Oilfield Rotary Tables and Brownfield Rig Upgrade Projects that require an existing rig-floor footprint, non-standard center distance, custom input shaft, existing sprocket interface or alternative bushing arrangement.
For obsolete equipment, the replacement review can use old drawings, nameplates, maintenance records and verified field measurements.
Where the Rotary Table forms part of a larger rig refurbishment program, the supply scope can also include agreed coating, documentation, spare-parts planning and export preparation.
Information Required for a Drilling Rig Rotary Table RFQ
For a new rig, provide the required model or opening, quantity, static load, working torque, maximum speed, rig capacity, tubular program, bushing configuration and drivetrain information.
For replacement equipment, include as much information as possible from the existing installation. A nameplate, GA drawing, shaft dimensions, center distance, sprocket information and equipment photographs can significantly reduce technical clarification.

Frequently Asked Questions About Drilling Rig Rotary Tables
1. What is a Drilling Rig Rotary Table and what is it used for?
A Drilling Rig Rotary Table is a heavy-duty rig-floor assembly used to rotate the drill string, provide a central passage for tubulars and support vertical loads during drilling and tubular-handling operations. On a conventional Kelly-drive rig, the drivetrain transfers torque through the Rotary Table, Master Bushing and Kelly Bushing to the Kelly and drill string.
In addition to normal oil and gas drilling, an Oilfield Rotary Table can support tripping, casing running, workover, well servicing and selected fishing operations when matched with the correct slips, bushings and tubular program.
2. What is an API 7K Drilling Rig Rotary Table?
An API 7K Drilling Rig Rotary Table generally refers to a Rotary Table supplied for a drilling or well-servicing project that specifies applicable API Spec 7K requirements. Selection should still consider the required table opening, maximum static load, working torque, rotary speed, drivetrain, Master Bushing, Kelly Bushing and rig-floor interface.
SGPE can review these requirements for conventional land rigs, Kelly-drive drilling systems, workover units and rig refurbishment projects. Final technical parameters should follow the approved project datasheet and General Arrangement drawing.
3. Which ZP Series Rotary Table models can SGPE supply?
SGPE can support common ZP Series Rotary Tables, including ZP175, ZP205, ZP275, ZP375 and ZP495 Rotary Tables. These models provide nominal openings from approximately 17-1/2 in to 49-1/2 in and cover applications ranging from compact workover units to conventional land rigs and larger heavy-duty drilling rigs.
ZP175 and ZP205 can suit selected workover and well-servicing applications, while ZP275 is widely used on conventional land rigs. ZP375 and ZP495 are better suited to deeper wells, heavier drill strings and larger casing programs.
4. What is the difference between ZP275, ZP375 and ZP495 Rotary Tables?
The main differences between ZP275, ZP375 and ZP495 Rotary Tables are nominal opening, static load capacity, working torque, overall dimensions and typical drilling application. A ZP275 uses a nominal 27-1/2 in opening and is a common choice for conventional land drilling rigs. A ZP375 increases the opening to 37-1/2 in and can support heavier drilling and larger casing programs.
The ZP495 provides a 49-1/2 in opening for large-hole, deep-well and heavy-duty rig applications. Replacement projects should also compare shaft dimensions, center distance, gear ratio, sprocket and mounting interface.
5. Can SGPE supply a Drilling Rig Rotary Table with Master Bushing and Kelly Bushing?
Yes. SGPE can supply a Drilling Rig Rotary Table with Master Bushing and Kelly Bushing, together with compatible Rotary Slips, Insert Bowls, Casing Bushings and related rig-floor equipment. The correct bushing arrangement depends on the Rotary Table model, Kelly profile, Kelly size, drill pipe range and casing program.
Square Kelly and Hexagonal Kelly systems require the corresponding Kelly Bushing configuration. Supplying the Rotary Table and mating rig-floor equipment as one matched package can reduce dimensional and compatibility issues during installation, commissioning and later drilling operations.
6. Can a Rotary Table work with both Square Kelly and Hexagonal Kelly systems?
Yes. A Kelly Drive Rotary Table can work with either a Square Kelly or Hexagonal Kelly when the correct Master Bushing and Kelly Bushing are selected. The Rotary Table itself does not grip the Kelly directly; torque passes through the bushing system before reaching the Kelly and drill string.
For new drilling rigs, the Kelly profile and nominal size should be confirmed during equipment selection. For replacement or brownfield projects, SGPE can also review the existing bushing type, Rotary Table interface and available rig-floor dimensions to help maintain compatibility with the current drilling system.
7. Does a Top Drive drilling rig still need a Rotary Table?
Many Top Drive drilling rigs still retain a Rotary Table even though the Top Drive System provides the primary drill-string rotation. In these applications, the Rotary Table can support Rotary Slips, drill pipe suspension, casing running and other tubular-handling functions at the rig floor. Some rigs may also require the Rotary Table as a backup rotary system.
When selecting a Rotary Table for Top Drive Rig Support, buyers should confirm whether the equipment will serve mainly as a tubular-support interface, a backup drive or part of a hybrid drilling arrangement because the required torque, drivetrain and accessories may differ.
8. How do I select the correct Rotary Table opening for a drilling rig?
The correct Rotary Table opening depends primarily on the drill pipe, drill collar, hole section and casing program. Common ZP Series nominal openings include 17-1/2 in, 20-1/2 in, 27-1/2 in, 37-1/2 in and 49-1/2 in. The opening must provide sufficient clearance for the largest tubulars, slips, Insert Bowls and Casing Bushings used during drilling and casing operations.
However, opening size alone is not enough. Static load, working torque, rotary speed, drivetrain capacity, rig-floor space and required bushing configuration should also be considered before final model selection.
9. Can a Drilling Rig Rotary Table be used for workover, casing running and fishing operations?
Yes. A Drilling Rig Rotary Table can support several operations beyond conventional drilling when the equipment rating and rig-floor accessories are correctly matched. During casing running, the table provides the central tubular passage and works with suitable Casing Bushings and slips.
On workover and well-servicing rigs, compact Rotary Tables can support tubing rotation, work-string handling and selected cleanout operations. During certain fishing jobs, the table can provide controlled rotation for strings used with overshots, spears, mills, junk baskets or washover tools. Applied torque must always remain within the approved operating limits.
10. Can SGPE supply a Replacement Drilling Rig Rotary Table for an obsolete or mature rig?
Yes. SGPE can review Replacement Drilling Rig Rotary Tables for mature rigs, obsolete equipment and brownfield rig refurbishment projects. Replacement selection requires more than matching the original ZP model number because the new table must also fit the existing drivetrain and rig-floor structure.
Useful information includes the existing nameplate, table opening, static load, torque, gear ratio, center distance, input shaft, keyway, sprocket, chain, mounting dimensions and bushing interface. If the original GA drawing is unavailable, clear equipment photographs and verified field measurements can often provide enough information for an initial technical review.
11. What Drilling Rig Rotary Table spare parts can SGPE supply?
SGPE can support Drilling Rig Rotary Table Spare Parts for routine maintenance, overhaul and rig refurbishment, depending on the model and available technical information. Typical replacement components can include main gears, pinions, input shafts, bearings, bearing seats, seals, gaskets, sprockets, lubrication-system parts, Master Bushings and Insert Bowls.
For standard ZP175, ZP205, ZP275, ZP375 or ZP495 units, the Rotary Table model and part number provide the best starting point. For older or modified equipment, drawings, photographs and actual dimensions can help identify the correct replacement component.
12. How can I get a Drilling Rig Rotary Table price and quotation from SGPE?
For an accurate Drilling Rig Rotary Table price and quotation, provide SGPE with the required model or nominal opening, quantity, static load, working torque, maximum speed, tubular program and drivetrain information. For replacement projects, the existing nameplate, GA drawing, center distance, input shaft, sprocket, chain and installation dimensions can help confirm compatibility.
Buyers can also specify whether Master Bushings, Kelly Bushings, Rotary Slips, Casing Bushings, spare parts, TPI or additional technical documentation are required. Based on the operating conditions and supply scope, SGPE will recommend a suitable Rotary Table configuration and provide the corresponding technical proposal and commercial quotation.
